Format
5 on 5: Beginning at the third grade level, players in the All-American basketball academy begin to learn how to implement a true offense and defense with their teammates. Each team will be made up of about 10 players so that each player can receive equal playing time during the games.
Full-Court Game: This will allow players to experience the fun of playing “full court” basketball with their team. *Note: Games will be played cross-court, not on an official full basketball court.
Games: Each team will play a total of 7 games throughout the season followed by a tournament designed to reward players for all their hard work during the season. Each team will have 2 practice sessions to prepare with their coach and teammates prior to the first game. All games will be played on Saturday mornings, except tournament games which will take place during the final week of the season.
Life: The importance of Character is emphasized in 10 minute team "Time Out’s". The coach will share with parents and kids how the Bible says we are to attain character and live it out, on the floor and off.
League Specifics:
5-6 grade girls will play on a 9 ft. goal to increase the success rate of scoring baskets. They will also play with an Intermediate Size ball (28.5 inch circumference) and the free-throw line will be at 12 feet.
5-6 grade boys will play on a 10 ft. goal. They will play with an Official Size ball and the free-throw line will be at 15 feet.
Uniform
Each child will receive a both a jersey and shorts to wear during each game.
Awards
Each team is invited to attend the end of the year Awards Celebration at Perimeter Church at the end of the season. Every child will receive an award during this ceremony.
Homework Basketball
Each Player will be given a sheet that will help them practice at home during the week. Parents are strongly encouraged to take a look at these sheets and hold each player accountable to practicing at home in order to maximize the learning experience for their children.

Cost
The $110 registration fee includes a basketball uniform (jersey and shorts), award, and awards celebration.
